The Friendship International Archery Tournament between the University of Karachi Archery Team of Pakistan and the CAS Archery Club of Sri Lanka was held on the 6th of September 2022 at the Colombo Archery Centre. In the Women's category the CAS Archers won all three positions with Vinuri Guneratne winning the Gold, Laila Sulaiman the Silver and Ameera Aashique the Bronze Medal. In the Male Category Savinu Hansaja from CAS Archery Club won the Gold Medal, Vihanga Gunesekera from Sagitarians Archery Club the Silver and Rashid Masud from the University of Karachi won the Bronze Medal. Colombo Archery Centre has launched a High Performance Training squad for aspiring Olympians. The squad has been selected from High performance Archers and they will undergo a special training programme developed for Archers who have ambition to represent Sri Lanka and ultimately become an Olympian

Congrats to the Sri Lanka Archery Team and Special Congrats to our CAS Archers - Team Captain Sam Rajapaksa and Silver Medalist Rehana Tayabally

Archery Classes are conducted in Groups at Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Elite levels. We also have individual classes. All required equipment is provided at no cost for the classes. Each level has eight training sessions.
We also have specialised squad training for the Archers who aspire to compete at both National and International archery tournaments

Sam Rajapaksa and Rehana Tayabally have been selected to represent the Sri Lanka Archery Team at the South Asian Games 2019 to be held in Nepal.
Sam has also been selected as the Team Captain of the Sri Lanka Archery Team to this Tournament.
